Richardsons Office Occupancy Boosted by Renovation February 11, 2020 Report 2400 N Glenville by John Jacobs, Executive Vice President Much of the office leasing in Richardson over the past few years has been dominated by the campus-like settings of 2400 North Glenville, the 400,000 SF former hub of MCI and later Verizon and the Galatyn Commons 4-building, 800,000 SF complex built for Nortel, occupied at one time by Countrywide Financial and largely vacant for most of the past few years. What’s changed? Both properties have undergone complete renovation inside and out, have added tenant amenities and the owners have spared no cost to make them competitive with some of the newest office buildings on the market. What happened? Both complexes were near being fully leased shortly after completion of improvements. Infosys, an IT services company, and BAL Global, a large immigration law firm, leased the lion’s share at 2400 N. Glenville. At Galatyn Commons, Steward Healthcare, Goldman Sachs and Raytheon were attracted to the array of amenities that include outdoor grills, kitchen, bocce courts, amphitheater, shared bicycle stations and indoor full-service cafeteria, coffee shop and fitness center. Lounge and fitness center at Galatyn Commons If history is any indication, BH Properties, which recently completed renovations at its 120,000 SF 1410 East Renner building, and Stanton Road Capital, which is upgrading 205,800 SF 1125 East Campbell office property, will be the next landlords to announce some large office leases in Richardson.
