 | Sue Walker is vice president of Economic Development. Her expertise encompasses corporate expansions and relocations, retail development, semiconductor and life science projects.
Sue came to Richardson in 2003 and has over 24 years of economic development experience at Temple (TX) Economic Development Corporation, AngelouEconomics, a leading economic development consulting firm in Austin, TX, and with the Greater Austin (TX) Chamber of Commerce. Her main efforts have been in research and marketing to attract technology companies, community and retail development projects.
Sue is a member of TEDC, IEDC, Semiconductor Equipment and Materials, International (SEMI), and the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), the trade association of the shopping center industry. She serves on the ICSC Texas State Planning Committee and is currently the Southern Division (11 states) Co-Chair for ICSC’s Alliance Program for 2009-2010.
Sue majored in communications at Abilene Christian University and at the University of Texas at Austin. She owned and operated a small business for 20+ years, and is a graduate of the Economic Development Institute at the University of Oklahoma and accredited by the IEDC. |
