Richardson Restaurant Update
The summer of 2007 will see a number of new restaurant openings here in Richardson.
Lola’s Restaurant in Promenade Center offers continental cuisine for both lunch and dinner. Open just a few months, the menu features steak, fish and special dishes, salads, appetizers and a number of unique desserts. Lola’s in located on the 2nd level of Promenade Center on the north end of the center.
Scalini’s Pizza and Pasta will open in September at Dale Wamstad’s upscale development, The Shire, located at 190 and Jupiter Road. Scalini’s is a family-owned operation with original recipes, all “made from scratch.” They have another location on Abrams Road in North Dallas.
Schiano’s Pizza, will open a sit-down pizza parlor restaurant later this summer at Breckinridge Corners II center on E. Renner Road just west of North Star in the Richardson “panhandle.”
Wildflour, a Texas Cafe is the new name for the long time Richardson-based deli and catering operation Woodstone Catering, will open in late July in the II Creeks development on Custer Road at Lookout Drive in the Canyon Creek area.
Little Caesar’s Pizza renovated an existing building on E. Belt Line Road at Glenville Drive and is open for business.
Ali Baba’s, a well-known Middle Eastern restaurant with locations on Lower Greenville Avenue and on Preston Road in Dallas, will open a new Richardson restaurant in the building the 2103 N. Central Expressway. The owners are currently operating Ali Baba’s Express on E. Campbell.
Austin Avenue Grill & Sports Bar owners are remodeling the former Nedley’s building on N. Plano Road for their 2nd location. Their original location is on Parker Road in Plano. They expect to open later this year.
