Corporate Challenge is an Olympic style competition run by the city's Parks & Recreation Dept.
- 40 Richardson companies recruit employees, spouses, & retirees to compete in 22 athletic and non-athletic events held in late August through early October.
- Competition events range from softball to volleyball, billiards to golf
- Held during the week after normal business hours, and on weekends.
- In 2009, $118,000 was raised for the Special Olympics through Corporate Challenge

Cycling Events
There are several events supported and organized by Richardson Bike Mart, a local Richardson business whose owner, Jim Hoyt, was Lance Armstrong's early mentor in cycling events in the Richardson area.
Wild Ride!! Bike Rally is an annual recreation event held in conjunction with the city's Wildflower! Festival and sponsored by Richardson Regional Medical Center.

Wildflower! Arts & Music Festival
- Held every May since 1992, the festival features live music stages, performances throughout the day, vendors and artists, fun and food for the whole family, and the WildRide annual charity cycling event.
- For the past 41 years, Cottonwood Art Festival has been a popular Texas attraction and one of our nation's premier festivals. It draws over 240 local, regional, and national artists, as well as local and regional bands performing the best in rock, country, jazz, blues, swing, and folk.

Santa's Village
- Held on City Hall grounds each November-December
