Chamber Calls for Business & Industry Award Nominations by June 30

In 2008, six new Business & Industry awards were created by the RCC Signature Luncheon committee, the three Richardson Rotary Clubs (Richardson Rotary, Richardson Central Rotary, and Richardson East Rotary), and the Richardson ED Partnership for the annual luncheon event to honor local businesses and organizations.  In 2009, another award recognizing environmental efforts by a local business or organization was added.

7-11’s Undercover Boss Joe DePinto Awards Igor Finker Richardson Store

On Friday June 4th Eastside at Campbell officially welcomed their newest tenant, 7-11.   The Eastside store quietly opened about 2 weeks ago, and has been a welcomed addition to the Telecom Corridor.  This store marked the 6th store in Richardson for the Dallas based convenience store chain and is also special because this is Igor Finkler’s store.  Igor was shadowed by CEO Joe DePinto on an episode of Undercover Boss.  Throughout the show DePinto learned of Igor’s dream to own his own 7-11 and was currently saving up toward the franchise fee.  DePinto was so moved by Igor’s work ethic and belief in the American dream that he waived the fee and which allowed Igor to open his store in Richardson.

Crime Watch Prevention - Too Much Temptation

Americans love their cars.  The car gets us to work, to play and in the course of our busy lives, it can accumulate a few of our routinely used possessions.

Our cars have also become a moving gadget filled entertainment center.  MP3 players, GPS devices, satellite radio systems, DVD and CD players, LCD screens, laptop computers, you name it, they can put it in a car these days.  Some may even keep a weapon in their car.
