This year we have celebrated the “Sterling Start” of Leadership Richardson. Participants in Class XXVI will be members of the first class of our “Golden Future”. Leadership Richardson is a unique opportunity to get to know our community. Leadership Richardson's purpose is to bring together a cadre of emerging community and business leaders to encourage them to dream about and care for our community. The program is open to people who live and/or work within the Richardson or the RISD boundaries.
Richardson Voters Pass All Four Bond Propositions The Richardson Chamber of Commerce endorsed and actively supported approval by the voters of all propositions and is pleased with the results of the bond election. Richardson voters clearly want Richardson to thrive. "It's clear that a majority of voters support renewal," said Andrew Laska, president of the Richardson Heights neighborhood association, in the southwest part of the city. Richardson Heights will be one of many areas of the city that will see the improvements from the bond spending. The passage of the bond means a $.06 tax rate increase. Recreation facilities, street improvements, municipal public building improvements, and neighborhood vitality projects are the areas that the four propositions covered. The improvements will increase the property value in Richardson and help create a more desirable place to live, work and play. FULL STORY
