LinkedIn Group Discussions Talk about Personal and Professional Balance

To get feedback from our members, Ruth Ferguson, Social Media Intern, at the Richardson Chamber of Commerce posed the following question on the Richardson Chamber of Commerce LinkedIn Group discussion page:  Do you keep your personal and professional online lives apart?  The following were your responses:

• Bryan McCullough, Owner, of 617 Production Group replied he is an open book everywhere.  Unfortunately, its one nobody wants to read according to him.
  
  
• Ruth Ferguson, Social Media Intern, of the Richardson Chamber of Commerce responded by stating there really is no separation or at the very least it is very hard to have one.

• Ryan Abrey, Membership Services Manager, of the Richardson Chamber of Commerce opined on this conversation.  He replied by offering the solution of having different social media accounts for different audiences.  His LinkedIn account is geared toward his work associates whereas his MySpace and Facebook accounts are tailored to his friends and acquaintances outside of work.
