“Dine Smart, Dine Local” Link Offers Richardson Restaurant Guide
The Richardson Chamber of Commerce has added a new feature to the RCC home page:
a link to the new “Dine Smart, Dine Local” Restaurant Guide.
Click on the “Dine Smart, Dine Local” logo to find a new page that features two ways to find your favorite Richardson restaurant: Search by the Restaurant Name or Search by Type of Cuisine.
Richardson Regional Medical Center Joins Methodist Health System
Hospital Changes Name to Methodist Richardson Medical Center
The Richardson Hospital Authority (RHA) Board, the governing body of Richardson Regional Medical Center, has signed a 20-year operating lease agreement with Methodist Health System effective June 1, 2009. Methodist will operate the Richardson hospital and lease its facilities and equipment. RHA will retain ownership of the hospital while it is operated in the Methodist system under its new name, Methodist Richardson Medical Center.

The Richardson Chamber of Commerce Partners with 2010 U. S. Census Bureau

The Richardson Chamber has entered into a Business Partnership agreement with the U. S. Census Bureau. In 2010, the U. S. Census Bureau will issue a call to action for every resident of our nation: “Be Counted”. Beginning in February, 2010, census questionnaires will be mailed or delivered to all U. S. households. The official “Census Day” is April 1, 2010. After that date, census takers will visit households that did not return a questionnaire by mail. Please fulfill a valuable civic duty by supporting the 2010 Census; complete and mail your census questionnaire. Encourage your neighbors, friends and co-workers to do the same.

UTD Launches New Senior Design Program UTDesign
The University of Texas at Dallas is preparing to launch the pilot year of UTDesign, a new senior design program in the Jonsson School of Engineering and Computer Science. “Initially, this pilot program will augment our existing Senior Design format. If it proves successful for students, companies and faculty – as we fully expect it will – it will become the standard format for all Senior Design projects within a few years” (Dr. Edward J.
