March 2009 This issue home | Past issues | Chamber home Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison Speaks at Annual Banquet The 52nd Annual Banquet was held on Friday, February 6 at the Hyatt Regency North Dallas - Richardson Hotel. Despite some concerns over the economic stimulus package in the Senate, Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison was in attendance and was the event's keynote speaker. Over 400 business and community leaders turned out to hear the Senator and celebrate what a wonderful 2008 the Richardson community has had. The award was announced for Citizen of the Year and the Chamber honored some of their special volunteers as well. Outgoing Chairman of the Board, Dave Anderson of Reliable Chevrolet, officially turned the gavel over to incoming Chairman Steve Moon of Bank of Texas. It was a wonderful event and a fitting tribute to a fantastic 2008. Thank you to Rockwell Collins and all of our wonderful sponsors listed below.
