Shopping Center of the Month

Dal-Rich Village Shopping Center a part of Richardson’s retail history for 43 years is located at the southeast corner of Coit Road and Belt Line Road.  This 163,000 sq. ft. center with its anchor store, Whole Foods Market and 38 other tenants, has undergone an extensive renovation and Spanish Colonial-style façade improvements that are attracting new restaurants and Dal-Rich Village now has a world of dining choices at this popular center: Owners Rose and Ruben Gonzales offer some of Richardson’s favorite Mexican food at Dos Rios Tex-Mex Grill with both inside and patio dining. Andrea’s Italian Restaurant is Dal-Rich’s newest dining venue. Owners Alfredo Espitia and his associates have brought fine dining to Dal-Rich with their new 5,000 sq.ft. location with 2 party rooms available for special occasions.  Andreas also offers their customers catering services.

Big Shucks, a seafood and oyster bar from the owners of North Dallas’ Aw Shucks suffered a fire last year, but recently re-opened to raves from their loyal customers. In addition to their grilled and fried seafood, try the coconut shrimp or fish tacos. Thai Soon is widely known for their southeast Asian/Thai cuisine. Indian food lovers will enjoy Madras Pavilion and for quick casual dining, Jason’s Deli is a longtime favoriteJason’s also offers catering services for family, business or corporate events. Little Caesar’s Pizza has both take-out or dine-in options and don’t forget to stop by Mel’s Hand Dipped Ice Cream, the perfect treat for summer and all year long. Starbucks is right on the corner next to the McDonald’s. For the holidays, for gifts or anytime you want to serve something special, Honeybaked Ham is the place to shop.

For more than 20 years, Whole Foods Market has been the central anchor tenant of this center.  Recent interior improvements have been made to the store including more in-store dining options.  Each Friday through Sunday from 11:00am to 6:00pm the store offers a “Sampling Affair” with free samples of their products and a team member to answer your questions and offer recipe suggestions. Whole Foods has foods for special diets including dairy free, gluten and casein free items, low fat, low sodium and soy foods, sugar conscious and wheat free items.

Dal-Rich’s newest retailer is Dollar Tree, one of the hottest “A List” tenants for lifestyle and community shoppingcenters, (doesn’t everyone want to save money these days??), Dollar Tree is conveniently located next to Whole Foods to help meet more of your grocery shopping needs at one center.

With the need to triple their space, Campus Outfitters moved to Dal-Rich from the Shops at Promenade. Campus Outfitters offers a single source for school uniforms and also has in-house customized screen printing and embroidery services.

Blockbuster Video and Game Stop customers enjoy these popular stores and The Fabric Affair offers customers the latest in fabrics and sewing accessories.  For jewelry shopping, stop by The Silver Pyramid, located next to Andreas.

Dal-Rich medical tenants cover chiropractic services, eye care, dentistry and community medical care.  A variety of salon and hair care services are located in the center and the professional building.

Dal-Rich Dry Cleaners, the Nail Times salon, Zoom Cuts, the UPS store, Edward Jones and Allstate Insurance office round out the service businesses at Dal-Rich.

Residents of both Richardson and the North Dallas area enjoy the convenience of shopping at Dal-Rich Village.  For more than 40 years, Dallas’ renowned shopping center owner and developer Herb Weitzman of The Weitzman Group, has been committed to maintaining a quality shopping center at this location.  With the variety of shopping, service and dining options, it makes sense to shop at one of Richardson’s oldest and now newest centers, Dal-Rich Village Shopping Center.
