Shopping Center of the Month

Campbell Road Village at 635 W. Campbell Road is now 100% leased, according to leasing director, Courtney Underwood.  If the name Underwood sounds familiar, it should. Courtney is the 3rd generation of Underwood s to be involved in retail development in Richardson.  It all began with her grandfather, George Underwood, who built the original Richardson Heights Shopping Center back in the 1950’s.

It was, at the time, only the second shopping center to be built in the Dallas area.  He built Campbell Road Village in the 1960’s (it was his 7th center) later added the front building in 1979.

Courtney’s mother Nancy Underwood , owner and CEO of Underwood Financial, Ltd. continued the family business and made improvements to their properties through the years.
