June 2008 This issue home | Past issues | Chamber home New Membership Directory Unveiled at Business Trade Show Chamber President Bill Sproull and Richardson Mayor Steve Mitchell pulled the drape to officially unveil the 2008/2009 Chamber of Commerce Business Directory and Community Profile to the public at the opening ceremonies of the Richardson Business Trade Show on May 29. Publisher Erica Yaeger and a large crowd were on hand to celebrate the publication of the magazine. Copies of the directory were available to all who attended the trade show. The 70-page magazine uses a “Live, Work and Play” theme and encourages the reader to “discover your community with a new perspective” using kaleidoscopes to accent the themes. The “Live” section focuses on Richardson’s rich history, quality education and outstanding healthcare. The “Work” section takes a look at the economic progress of the city and the vision the Richardson Chamber has for the community. The “Play” section highlights the arts and recreational opportunities for residents. “Our goal was to publish a magazine that presented the positive change that is taking place in Richardson and a publication that promotes our members,” said Dave Anderson, Chairman of the Board. “The Chamber is proud of the magazine because it presents the Richardson story in a very exciting way. We believe this is a magazine that every member will want to display on the coffee table in their lobby.” An important feature of the magazine is a list of all Richardson Chamber of Commerce members. Members are listed in both an alphabetical and a categorical listing with the company name, primary contact, mailing address and telephone number. The dual listing makes it easy to look up members and makes the directory an instantaneous resource. Each member company will receive business directory via mail.
