There are two major projects that the Education Committee has in store: the RISD Career Summit and the Chip & Dip Week. Chamber volunteers are needed to talk to high school juniors about their careers on Thursday, March 6th in the RISD Career Summit. When you were a junior in high school did you know what career you wanted to pursue? Would you have liked more information about a variety of careers before you graduated from high school? For the third year, the Richardson Chamber of Commerce, through the Education Committee, is assisting with the RISD Career Summit on March 6, 2008. 500 RISD high school juniors will attend. Volunteers are needed to talk with students about their career. CAREER SUMMIT DETAILS Time: AM: 9:00 – 11:15 and/or PM: 12:00 – 2:15 (RISD will provide lunch for volunteers) Where: RISD Professional Development Center Auditorium Why: To talk to high school students about your career and similar careers in your industry cluster that they may pursue after high school and/or college. Who: Volunteers are needed to represent the various career paths in 16 different industry clusters
