January 2008 This issue home | Past issues | Chamber home Now Hiring Staff PositionsThe Special Events Coordinator assists senior staff in planning, organizing, and managing the production of all major events, monthly luncheons, and other selected events within the organization. The position also provides support for selected committees, on-site production of events, and has front office responsibilities. Candidates must have at minimum an Associate Degree in marketing or advertising with an emphasis on journalism or equivalent work experience. Must have working knowledge of the technical skills needed for preparing marketing materials, limited graphic design, spreadsheet and database management. Need skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook and office are required. Skills such as Dreamweaver, Adobe Programs, Publisher and Quark are preferred. Please send resumes to Paul Bendel. The position is called Director of Accounting and HR. Starting salary is between $40-50K per year, DOQ. Based upon the pay range and previous experience, this position is ideal for someone who is either retired and wants to come back to work, or someone who wants to run accounting for a small non-profit. A full-time Accounting Assistant reports to the Director. Duties include production of financial statements and reports, oversight of the accounting system, payroll and HR responsibilities, cash management and investments, etc. Position reports directly to the President.
