November 2007 This issue home | Past issues | Chamber home Chamber Supports Collin County Bond Program
The Richardson Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors recently adopted a resolution of support to the Collin County Bond Program, which will be presented to voters on the November 6th ballot. The bond proposal focuses on transportation, facilities and open space improvements and does not raise tax rates. The Chamber’s Board feels the improvements are a valuable asset to Richardson and its growth and vitality, are a stepping stone for the future of Richardson, and encourages support for the bond proposal. The 2007 bond propositions dedicate specific funding amounts to each of the three propositions for the entire Collin County area. The transportation proposal will provide $485 million to help with road construction and the widening of roads. The facilities proposal will give $76.3 million to help court house expansions as well as juvenile detention expansions and adult minimum security expansions. The open space proposition will allot $148.6 million for the building and up-keep of parks and empty land. Please click here to view the Chamber’s resolution of the 2007 Collin County Bond Program.
