2008 Board, Advisory Board Announced

Eight people have been elected by the membership to serve three year terms on the Board of Directors beginning in 2008. Six people have been appointed by the Executive Committee to serve one year terms on the Advisory Board. The 2008 Board and Advisory Board take office on January 1st.

The Board of Directors has the responsibility for establishing Chamber policies, managing the finances, approving the Program of Work, and in general overseeing the operation of the Chamber in concert with the President.

As it name implies, the Advisory Board serves in an advisory capacity to the elected board but without voting privileges. 

Elected to the Board of Directors are:

Kay Eggleston, Vice President Institutional Effectiveness and Economic Development, Richland College of the DCCCD

Joe Miller, Managing Director, National Operations, Countrywide Home Loans                     
Bill Harper, Community Relations Manager, Oncor Electric Delivery

Mark Sommer, Principal, Beltway Commercial Real Estate

Pam Anderson, Executive Vice President Human Relations/Marketing/Business Development, Texans Credit Union

James Strand, Vice President of Financial Operations, AVNET, Inc

Charles Eisemann, Principal, Eisemann Investments

Mike Romanowski, Department Manager-Transportation, Halff Associates, Inc.

The six people appointed to one year terms on the Advisory Board are:
