Gain Membership Value by Volunteering
Volunteers are what make the Richardson Chamber of Commerce so successful. Volunteers also receive value and a greater return on their membership dollar by getting involved in our events, becoming a sponsor, and getting to know members.
There are many ways for you to get involved. The Chamber has several committees that you can get involved in, download more information here about joining a committee. Committee involvement can promote your business, put you in front of your target market, give you credibility in the community, learn about your peers, gain respect, and make you feel great about giving back to your community! There are several committees and one that is right for you, so sign up today!
Another way to get involved in the chamber is by attending one of our many events. The Signature luncheon series features prominent corporate leaders from around the Metroplex who bring their stories of success in business to the membership, and it's held the second Thursday of the month. The annual banquet recaps accomplishments of the previous year, honors the Citizen of the Year and features a noted speaker at an evening banquet. The business and industry lunch recaps the business growth of Richardson and recognizes area businesses for their part in promoting the community and is coming up on November 1. EarlyNet is held every Wednesday morning and is an open networking group meeting to promote business relationships. The event features speakers from member companies. Every fall the Richardson Chamber of Commerce hosts the RCC Golf Classic and is so much fun - check out the pictures from this year. The Richardson Chamber’s Growth and Mobility luncheon programs feature a variety of speakers with updates on the latest economic development activities and important transportation-related issues which impact the Richardson area. The New Teacher's Luncheon is an annual event, presented by the Education Committee, honors new teachers entering the Richardson Independent School District (RISD). PM Connections promotes the development of business relationships in a casual environment, held on the third Thursday of the month. The PrimeTime Business Expo features long time members and new members of the Richardson Chamber of Commerce. The Richardson Business Breakfast is a quarterly networking event featuring speakers from companies that focus on the success of small businesses. Richardson Young Professionals is a professional development program aimed at engaging an emerging group of up and coming leaders who are committed to personal growth and career advancement while serving the Richardson community. The program consists of regular after-hours events, quarterly community service projects, and special events for members only. The new Women in Leadership group helps to inspire, influence and champion powerful women through advocacy, mentoring and networking. The steering committee plans quarterly lunches which feature inspiring women and provide networking opportunities.
If there's not something on this list that peeks your interest, please give us some feedback and let us know by contacting Paul Bendel what you would like to get involved in.
