Phillips Edison & Company, a retail real estate owner, manager and developer, announced the purchase of Buckingham Square Shopping Center last month. Located in Richardson, Texas, at the northeast corner of South Plano and Buckingham roads, Buckingham Square is a 64,753 square foot community shopping center with tenants such as Dollar General and Poncho & Lefty's Restaurant. The former long time owner was Mr. Harold Peek. Lyn Harper, Acquisitions Officer for Phillips Edison said: "Buckingham Square represents our 4th acquisition in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area. We look forward to improving the appearance and occupancy of this Wal-Mart Neighborhood Market shadow-anchored center." Phillip Levy and Blake Burnett of Marcus & Millichap negotiated the sale. Working with Mr. Burnett on this project was Sue Walker, VP of Economic Development with the Richardson Chamber of Commerce. “This acquisition is another positive example of the retail re-development activity that is occurring here in Richardson,” Ms. Walker noted.
