The Richardson Chamber's Annual Golf Classic, known by many as one of the longest running chamber hosted tournaments in North Texas, will celebrate its 20th anniversary at Sherrill Park Golf Course. The long-range weather forecast looks good. This summer's rains have left Sherrill Park Golf Course in great shape. And, lots of golfers, volunteers and dignitaries from all over Richardson and the DFW Metroplex are planning to enjoy a wonderful experience at this year's tournament. New Group Health Insurance Program for Chamber Members
The Richardson Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce a group health insurance program for member firms with 2-99 employees. Humana and Alliant Insurance Services, Inc. are partnering to provide the services under the new program. "It is rare to find a major health insurance company willing to provide something different to chamber members. The Humana program is the best we have ever offered to chamber members,” said John Crawford of Alliant Insurance Services. Study Finds that Residents Will Buy More from Chamber Members A national study has revealed that membership in a local chamber of commerce can significantly boost a business’s image amongst the community. This study, conducted by the American Chamber of Commerce Executives (ACCE), showed that respondents, when told that a particular small business was a member of its local chamber, were 44 percent more likely to rate it favorably than study respondents who were not told of the chamber affiliation. Respondents were also 63 percent more likely to want to purchase goods or services from a small business that is a chamber member.
