2006 Citizen of the Year Named - Richard Ferrara

Ferrara family at Annual Banquet

Richard Ferrara was pleasantly surprised at the Annual Banquet, when Frank and Geraldine Leftwich, 2005 Citizens of the Year, announced that he was to be crowned Richardson's 2006 Citizen of the Year.

Mr. and Mrs. Leftwich described the many accomplishments of this outstanding citizen. This included the design of over 80 Richardson buildings. The program highlighted Ferrara's inspirational conduits including model trains, disciplined education and cruise vacations.

Ferrara is also actively involoved in the following as a civic volunteer:

1. Leadership Richardson
2. Richardson Citizen's Fire Academy
3. FBI Citizens Academy
4. Wildflower Steering Committee
5. Heards and Hammers Work Volunteer
6. Docent at the Dallas Museum of Art
7. Board Member of the Richardson Regional Medical Center

The Ferrara family, shown above, proudly shared the evening with Richardson's 2006 Citizen of the Year, a well-deserving, accomplished architech in our community.

Ferrara will be sharing his story with the Richardson Business Breakfast in July.
