The application deadline for Leadership Richardson Class XXII is June 15.

"Leadership Richardson has proven to be an incredible program," said Jill Nelson, Texans Credit Union and a member of Class XXI. "The activities and situations the class has tackled together have encouraged us to grow personally and professionally, as well as into life-long friends.  Not only do we better understand the city of Richardson, but we also have learned where our diverse talents and backgrounds can fit into the future of the community."

Leadership Richardson participants can expect to enhance their personal and organizational leadership skills inherent to community trusteeship. The September retreat, October session and May closing session are devoted to leadership development. Participants are assigned to session planning committees that allow them to utilize the community leadership techniques. Participants have the opportunity to explore all aspects of the dynamics of the Richardson community. From November through May, the class studies seven different topics in sessions that are a mixture of information, problem solving and interactive activities. The topics include Business and Economic Development, City Government, Cultural Arts, Health Care, Public Education, Public Safety and Social Services.

Leadership Richardson is a unique opportunity to develop friendships with a variety of people from all walks of life. After graduation, participants are eligible to join the Leadership Richardson Alumni Association. The Association provides graduates with an opportunity to develop and renew business, civic, and cultural contacts throughout the community.
