“The Richardson Chamber is honored to have one of the most significant leaders from the United States telecom industry as our keynote speaker at this year’s banquet. His vision and his persistence through difficult times have made him one of the true pioneers in the future of telecommunications,” said Charles W. Eisemann, 2005 Richardson Chamber chairman of the board and banquet chairman. During his 15 years at the company’s helm, Whitacre, a native of Ennis, Texas, has guided the transformation of the former Southwestern Bell Corporation into the largest telecommunications company in the United States and one of the largest in the world. In addition to Whitacre’s presentation, the Richardson Chamber of Commerce will announce the 2005 Citizen of the Year and pass the gavel from Eisemann to 2006 Chairman of the Board Paul Voelker. This year's banquet sponsor is Hewlett-Packard. Chairman's sponsors are AT&T and EMC2. The president's sponsor is Fujitsu. Alcatel is a director's sponsor. Tickets are $75 per person, or a table of 10 can be purchased for $800. To make a reservation, visit the Chamber's Web site or call 972-792-2821. |
