Voelker is the Americas Marketing Manager for Hewlett-Packard and is responsible for the network domain in the HP Network and Service Provider Business Unit. He leads business development and marketing program implementation across the region for communications industry network solutions. He also leads the HP Americas Telecom Solution Center located in Richardson. Voelker has been on the Chamber’s board since 2003 and was a member of the executive committee in 2005. He was a year 2000 graduate of Leadership Richardson. He also serves locally on the board of the MTBC and the RISD Tomorrow, Inc. Foundation. He has been a resident of Richardson for 23 years and is married to his wife Kris and they have one son Ryan age eight. “As far as my vision for the Chamber moving forward through my tenure I would like to discuss the image of the city and the business climate that supports our growing diversity of business,” Voelker said. “We are a city evolving from a suburban to an urban transit-oriented community. We are building off of the strength of our Telecom Corridor® history while positioning our assets as fertile ground for many types and sizes of companies.” Additional goals for the Chamber in 2006, which were outlined at its annual Program of Work in October, are:
Voelker succeeds Charles Eisemann, who served as chairman in 2005 and will stay on the executive committee in 2006 as immediate past chairman.
