Richardson Christmas Parade Set For Saturday

The 34th Annual Richardson Christmas Parade will be held on Saturday, Dec. 3, at 9 a.m. and will be presented by the Richardson Chamber of Commerce, the Richardson Family YMCA and the City of Richardson. The grand marshal will be Richardson's 2004 Citizen of the Year Mike Spence. Numerous other civic and service organizations, schools, churches and special interest groups are participating as well.

Participants will compete for trophies to be awarded in various divisions. Awards will be presented to recipients at a ceremony held in conjunction with the lighting of Santa's Village outside the Civic Center on Saturday evening.

The parade will begin at the Richardson Square Mall entrance just north of Chick-fil-A, and will head north on Plano Road before turning east on Apollo Road and disbanding at Huffhines Park.

Parade sponsors include: Title Sponsor Keller Williams of Richardson, Richardson Regional Medical Center, Richardson Rotary, Alexander Wright & Associates, Baylor Family Health Center at Richardson, Eagle Transmission, Century 21 Judge Fite Company, The Dallas Morning News and SpeedPro Imaging.
