YMCA Collecting Registrations, Toys For 2005 Christmas Parade

The 34th Annual Richardson Christmas Parade will be held on Saturday, Dec. 3 and will be presented by the Richardson Chamber of Commerce, the Richardson Family YMCA and the City of Richardson. This year's theme will be “A Lone Star Magical Christmas” and the grand marshal will be Richardson's 2004 Citizen of the Year Mike Spence.

The parade will follow the east side route along Plano Road and will begin at 9 a.m.

The entry fee is a new unwrapped toy. Toys will be donated to the NETWORK of Community Ministries Santa Program in support of families who have settled in our community due to the recent hurricanes and need the services of NETWORK this Christmas.

Parade registrations and toy collection will be handled by the YMCA which is located at 821 Custer Road. The deadline to enter a float or group is Nov. 16.

Additional details and registration forms can be found on the YMCA's Web site at www.richardsonfamilyymca.org. For more information, contact Jeff Thomas at the YMCA at 972-231-3424.
