Amdocs (NYSE: DOX), a global company specializing in products and services that enable communications service providers to adopt an integrated customer management strategy and deploy an intentional customer experience™, is tripling the size of its operations in the Telecom Corridor® area of Richardson. The lease of more office space in Richardson will accommodate expected growth over the next year to more than 120 employees. Amdocs works with major telecommunications carriers, broadband cable and satellite companies around the globe, including SBC, BellSouth, Cingular, Comcast and Cablevision in North America. The company's broad range of products and services spans the entire customer lifecycle, from targeting customers and selling services to managing customer orders, delivering the service, billing for it, and providing customer support. With its U.S. headquarters in St. Louis, Mo., Amdocs saw more than $1.77 billion in annual revenues in 2004. “Amdocs and its employees add value to Richardson's portfolio of global high-tech corporations, as well as to our software development and engineering talent pool,” said Richardson Mayor Gary Slagel. “We are pleased that Amdocs is expanding here.” The Amdocs Richardson office, currently comprising more than 80 professionals performing sales, implementation, integration and consulting services, is located in 5,670-square-feet of space at the Creekview Corporate Center I, 2301 N. Greenville Drive. The company recently completed an expansion at that site of an additional 11,817 square feet. “The Amdocs expansion is just one more indicator that the telecom, cable and satellite industries are experiencing a forward business movement, which is translating into new jobs and growth in the Telecom Corrridor® area,” said Charles W. Eisemann, 2005 chairman of the board of the Richardson Chamber of Commerce. “Not only is this a positive parameter for our business community locally, it will help to strengthen economic optimism for this tech sector within the entire region.” The leasing agent for the Corporate Creekview Center I building was Deborah Borum, Beltway Commercial Real Estate; the broker representing Amdocs was Matt Burton of Mohr Partners. “With favorable leasing rates available in this Class A office building combined with Amdocs' history with Beltway Commercial Real Estate, it was an easy decision for them to remain in Richardson and expand with Beltway,” said Deborah Borum, director of Richardson leasing for Beltway Commercial Real Estate. “Additional factors include continued proximity to many other telecommunications providers, carriers and business enterprises supporting their business relationships and activity locally.” |
