ENGlobal Rapidly Expanding In Richardson

ENGlobal Engineering, Inc., which set up an office in Richardson late last year, is almost tripling its space because of business growth.

Headquartered in Houston, ENGlobal Corporation (AMEX: ENG) provides engineering services and systems services principally to the petroleum refining, petrochemical, pipeline and process industries throughout the United States and internationally.

In September 2004, the company established a Dallas-area office for its ENGlobal Sulfur Group with 12 employees in 5,059 square feet of space at 275 W. Campbell Road in Richardson. Since then, the Richardson office has grown to 35 employees.

With recent contracts in hand, the company recently leased an additional 9,164 square feet to accommodate expected growth to about 45 employees in the coming months, according to ENGlobal's Dallas-area General Manager Craig Ward.

“ENGlobal Engineering is a full service engineering company working in the refining and petrochemical marketplace, dealing with the design, procurement and construction of processing units along with production and product pipelines,” said Ward.

“The Richardson group is particularly focused on environmental requirements, including sulfur recovery units, tail gas treating units, amine units, and sour water stripping units. As a secondary line of business, the Dallas area office designs and installs Coke Drum Unheading devices. These devices are installed to improve safety and to reduce the operator's exposure to hot coke during the decoking cycle,” he added.

“We continue to recruit engineers and designers with considerable experience in refining processes. In fact, there is a strong talent base in this sector of the Metroplex, with many of them living in north Dallas, which is why we selected Richardson as the site for our Dallas-area office,” said Ward. “This location and even the office building present the quality of image suitable for a sophisticated engineering company like ENGlobal.”

“ENGlobal Engineering reflects the diversity that we have within the tech sector in Richardson,” said Mayor Gary Slagel. “Not only do we have telecommunications, semiconductor manufacturing, software development, IT, RFID and electronics, we've also got energy, oil and gas, life sciences, nanotechnology, and a variety of other tech disciplines. The quality of the workforce and the dynamic interaction among engineering professionals and executives continues to fuel growth in this area. We're pleased that ENGlobal Engineering is here, and growing, in Richardson.”
