More than 100 exhibiting businesses and 280 attendees participated in the Chamber's Prime Time Business Expo on June 22 at the Richardson Civic Center. It was the biggest showcase of member companies in recent years, said Ellie Jackson, director of membership for the Chamber. Exhibitors included existing members as well as new members who joined during the May membership drive. "This was our first time at the Prime Time Business Expo and actually our first event with the Chamber and it has been great. It was nicely arranged and a good opportunity to make business contacts and learn more about other businesses in the Chamber," said new member Adrienne Linch, Linch Computer/Network Services. The Chamber gave away approximately 65 door prizes, all donated by member companies, and two awards — one for "Best Booth," which went to Keller Williams Realty, and one for "Best Committee Booth," which went to the Chamber's Education Committee. The event also marked the debut of the Richardson Chamber of Commerce's 2005-2006 Business Directory. Published by Brimer-Lane Communications, the 68-page book includes news about the Chamber and community, as well as a listing of Chamber members. The directories were distributed at the Expo and will be mailed out to Chamber members. Additional copies may be purchased at the Chamber office for $5.
