July 2005 Volume 2, Issue 7 This issue home | Past issues | Chamber home Transportation Committee Undergoes Name Change At its June 22 meeting, the RCC Board of Directors voted unanimously to accept a proposal for a change in the name of the Transportation Committee to the Growth and Mobility Committee. This new committee title reflects the importance that we place on transportation to economic development for Richardson, said Ernest Randall, Jr., the Vantage Companies and co-chair of the committee. The essence of economic development has always been location, location, location' but I always say that without good roads you cannot get there from here. So transportation is essential for bringing companies, employees, suppliers, customers, visitors, students, consumers, to and from Richardson. It's absolutely vital for continued economic growth.
