February 2005 • Volume 2, Issue 2 This issue home | Action home | Chamber home Chamber Begins Monthly Mailing, Introduces New Logo In an effort to raise attendance at its events, the Richardson Chamber of Commerce mailed out an events calendar to its membership in early January. The calendar covers all Chamber events and will go out every other month. "We recognize our members prefer to receive our communications in different ways, and we're trying to meet those needs." said Paul Bendel, vice president of programs and communications. "We also hope they will hang the calendar up around their offices and help us get the word out about all the great programs the Richardson Chamber of Commerce offers." Promenade Printing sponsored part of the printing cost of the calendar, but the Chamber is looking for additional sponsors. Other Communications News At the January 19 RCC board meeting, President Bill Sproull presented a new Chamber logo to the board. The new logo retains the City's blue "R" which is widely recognized, but puts a fresh spin on it. It was designed by the Chamber's Director of Communications Cindy Whittle. "I felt like it was a good time to polish up the Chamber's logo," Sproull said. "We're doing a lot of exciting things and we needed a new logo that reflected that." The new logo has already been added to the Chamber's Web site and Action newsletter. The Chamber has begun incorporating it into its printed materials as well, but due to inventories, it could take up to a year to fully convert to the new logo. |
