Applications for the 2005-2006 Class XXI of Leadership Richardson will be available February 15. The deadline for early admission is March 31 and for all other applications June 17. In the meantime, Class XX is halfway to the finish line. The City of Richardson hosted the January session which focused on city government. City Manager Bill Keffler, members of the Richardson City Council and Parks and Recreation Director Michael Massey were key presenters at the session. The class also toured the Community Events office and the Richardson Service Center to learn more about the many ways the city impacts the quality of life in Richardson. The February session will be hosted by Nortel and will focus on business and economic development in Richardson. Bill Sproull and John Jacobs from the Chamber of Commerce will be key presenters for the session. The class will also learn the inside story about the Texas Instruments and II Creeks developments. The session is being planned by Janis Dumas, Neighborhood Service Council and HASR; John Fancher, Sprint Corporation; Reena Schellenberg, University of Texas at Dallas; Finney Varghese, Richland College/DCCCD; and Dennis Wooten, City of Richardson.
