Some key features of the new site include a secure online registration system, a Flash presentation on the home page and numerous pictures of Richardson, its businesses, its residents and Chamber members.

The new site was designed as four sites within a site which allows visitors to easily and clearly navigate between the four organizations within the RCC -- the Chamber, the Metroplex Technology Business Council  (MTBC), the Richardson Economic Development Partnership  (REDP) and Leadership Richardson.

The home page at www.telecomcorridor.com has also been given a new look and includes a brief Flash presentation which speaks to the attractiveness of Richardson as a home to businesses and individuals.

"We are so excited to have this great new platform in which to showcase Richardson," said Bob Kaiser, chairman of the board, Richardson Chamber of Commerce. "It really takes us to a new level in terms of our ability to market and communicate our message to Richardson and the world."

The new registration system allows those wishing to attend an event to easily sign up for the many RCC and MTBC programs through a secure, online system. In the past, attendees have had to phone, fax or e-mail in their reservations.

The registration system was built by Jeff Venters, of Clientec Consulting Group, the Chamber's technology consultant and a member of the Metroplex Technology Business Council. The site, which is hosted by Neospire, was designed by the Chamber's Director of Communications Cindy Whittle.
